HOW SHOULD I PLAN A VISIT TO THE MUSEUM?
Make a preparatory visit, first and foremost. This will allow you to plan the necessary logistics and be familiar with our location, galleries and facilities. We are always happy to recommend workshops and tours that are appropriate for your students, so do contact us for more information.

We also cater to special needs students, and parking is available for mini buses that ferry students with mobility challenges. To assist you better, please provide us with your vehicle model, number, and the date of your visit.

If you have students on wheelchairs, and your workshop is at The Lab on level 3 of the Museum, do inform our Stamford Visitor Services Counter immediately. This information is for evacuation purposes during an emergency.

DO I NEED TO BOOK A VISIT TO THE MUSEUM?
Yes, appointments are necessary for group visits of more than 20 students. It is recommended that you enquire at least one school term ahead of the date of your intended visit. Our Singapore History and Living Galleries are very popular with students and we do not want to disappoint yours. Hence, do make your transport arrangements only after your visit has been confirmed.

VISITING THE NATIONAL MUSEUM / BOOKING OF PROGRAMMES
To visit the National Museum or to book a programme, please complete the booking form and fax, email or post it to us. Please ensure the form contains the following information:

Name of the school
Contact person’s name and number
Address (please include the postal code)
Email address
Date and time of visit
Duration of visit
The number of students visiting and accompanying adults

For confirmed bookings, your school will receive a confirmation letter from us, with information about your visit/programme. In the event that the number of students and accompanying adults is more than the maximum capacity indicated on the confirmation letter, a surcharge will be levied. HOW DO I PAY?

Cheques should be made payable to National Heritage Board. Payment must be received at least 2 weeks before the date of the programme, as confirmation of your booking.

The Museum will send your school an invoice when your booking is confirmed. The school will also receive a confirmation letter with information about the programme you signed up for, and how you can organise your school visit. If you do not receive a confirmation within 2 weeks of booking, please contact us immediately. The confirmation letter must be brought along for the visit or programme.

Note: Bookings received via emails fax or post will be dated and processed in order of receipt. Please note that bookings cannot be made via phone.

WHAT IF I CANCEL MY VISIT / PROGRAMME?
Unfortunately, fees will not be refunded if you cancel less than 30 days from the commencement of the programme.

Should the Museum initiate cancellation of booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we shall endeavour to inform the school at least 30 days prior to programme commencement and refund the fees in full. However, we will not bear responsibility for travel expenses or any costs which the school/client might have incurred.
