This January, the National Museum of Singapore invites museum-goers, museum professionals and digital technology enthusiasts to explore a series of innovative projects featured in the DigiMuse Digital Showcase. These displays include Virtual Reality explorations, micro-CT scanning technology innovative optical systems, and augmented reality as well as a fascinating performance that employs the use of brainwave technology.

 

In conjunction with The Digital Showcase and as part of the Digital Conversations series, international experts will share their expert views and explore a cross-section of digital trends and applications related to museology, storytelling, and community engagement on 29 and 30 January 2018.  Click here for more information on Digital Conversation: New Technologies.

 

The Digital Showcase, part of the larger DigiMuse initiative by the National Museum of Singapore invites visitors to discover innovative projects that employ digital technology to redefine the boundaries of art and heritage presentations. The exhibition features a selection of five international projects that include Virtual Reality explorations, micro-CT scanning technology and innovative optical systems, and augmented reality as well as a fascinating performance that employs the use of brainwave technology.

 

 

About DigiMuse

The DigiMuse programme is a new initiative by the National Museum of Singapore, aimed at building a vibrant cultural sector that is invested in digital innovation. DigiMuse seeks to engage with the wider digital-technology industry to encourage creative experimentation in cultural spaces. The programme invites artists, technologists and culture professionals to co-create digital projects, and provide considered interventions aimed at showcasing the possibilities of integrating culture and technology.
