Kathakali is a traditional Indian drama-dance art form, noted for its captivating make-up and elaborate costumes. Organised to complement the Kathakali performance at the Singapore HeritageFest 2016, A Lighter Side of History takes you behind the scenes for a glimpse of the intricate pre-performance preparation, offering insights on the application of Kathakali make-up, as well as the cultural significance of the colours and other details on the costumes.

About the Academy
Bhaskar’s Arts Academy is a Singapore-based Indian classical dance, music and theatre company with a history dating back to 1952.
